Khabib Abdulmanapovich Nurmagomedov (Russian: Хабиб Абдулманапович Нурмагомедов; born 20 September 1988) is a Russian professional mixed martial artist. He is a two-time Combat Sambo World Champion and the reigning UFC Lightweight Champion. With 28 wins and no losses, he holds the longest active undefeated streak in MMA.[ As of March 17, 2020, he is #2 in the UFC men's pound-for-pound rankings.
Nurmagomedov is the first Muslim to win a UFC title. Trained in sambo, judo, and wrestling, Nurmagomedov's style of grappling has made him one of the most dominant athletes in the history of MMA.[As of September 2019, he is the most followed Russian celebrity on Instagram
